Tough as nails…pinned construction.

From Peter: “Pinned Construction: An old school way of positioning tubes in lugs used before elaborate brazing fixtures. Used by the Italian masters when frames were made one at a time. Thought of as a crude method.  If done well the result will be perfect alignment and it was quicker than using my jig!  The masters used actual nails, I modernized, those are short cut sections of a 2mm DT spoke.”

* Note – Peter doesn’t usually pin his lugs.  Brazing is his method of choice.
